Founded by marine biologist Tandia Walsh, the brand emerged from a deeply personal search for sun protection gentle enough for her mother’s sensitive skin following a second cancer diagnosis, and responsible enough to protect the environment they both loved. While seeking safe alternatives, Tandia uncovered how many skincare products contain ingredients harmful to both human health and marine ecosystems, inspiring her to create something better. After four years of research, MOTHER SPF launched in 2020 with a single, uncompromising product: an Australian-made mineral sunscreen that meets the highest global SPF standards while nourishing the skin and honouring the planet.
